Who We Work With

We work with business owners, managers, and other interested parties who need to minimize their energy use and improve the reliability of their refrigeration systems. If you are frustrated by past projects that just don’t seem to work as advertised, unexpected equipment breakdowns, increasing energy use, or an inability to bring projects to successful completion, we can help you.

We work with decision-makers to improve system operations and reliability while lowering energy use. Perhaps you have tried this in the past and did not achieve the expected results. We can help you to find the barriers that limit your goals and develop methods to ensure a successful implementation.

Our most successful clients are ones who are not afraid of pushing the envelope to achieve their goals. This does not mean they experiment with their system, but rather make sound decisions based on firm principles applied to their ammonia refrigeration system. These clients utilize every resource available to maintain their competitive edge.

Do these sound familiar to you?

Are you having refrigerant pump problems on start-up of blast freezers? If you are operating production blast freezing tunnels or IQF’s you may be noticing this problem after defrosts or in the early morning time.

Do you have high discharge pressure issues during the summer? In some situations you may have sufficient condenser capacity and still not be able to operate as you would like to.

Does your thermosiphon oil cooling system loose capacity during the summer? Will your oil cooling system work acceptably during all annual seasons except for those few hot days during the summer? If you have liquid injection oil cooling you may be experiencing a similar condition.

Are your direct expansion evaporators providing full capacity in the summer? This is the time of the year when you need the highest capacity. Find out how your system installation can be affecting this.

Are you experiencing start-up problems in the winter time? If your ammonia refrigeration system shuts off during cold winter weather, do you have constant problems trying to get it started again?

Does your liquid level in the high-pressure receiver drastically change within a short time period? Why does this occur and what can it mean to your system operation? This may or may not be a normal condition.

Do you operate your ammonia refrigeration system discharge pressure below 140 psig (9.6 bar gauge) whenever possible? What prevents you from doing this? Do you know what your minimum discharge pressure is?
