The following items are provided as sources of information that may be beneficial, educational, or just simply fun.

EES – Engineering Equation Solver

EES is a software program that provides many built-in mathematical and thermophysical property functions useful for engineering calculations. As such, it can be beneficial to those involved in refrigeration or other related areas of interest. See http://www.fchart.com/ for further information.

RefProp

RefProp is a software program that calculates refrigerant properties. It uses high accuracy equations of state to determine various user selected properties for CFC’s, HCFC’s, various hydrocarbons, and natural refrigerants such as water (H2O), ammonia (NH3), or carbon dioxide (CO2). See http://www.nist.gov/srd/nist23.htm for more further information.

Refrigeration Forums

Refrigeration-Engineer.com has been online since 2001 and has grown into the world’s biggest dedicated site for professional refrigeration engineers. This site provides various forums, which include discussion on topics related to NH3 (ammonia), Industrial Compressors, Hydrocarbons, and CO2 (carbon dioxide) among many others. See http://www.refrigeration-engineer.com/ for further information and registration to this forum.
